Lorene Bell Atwood, age 94 of Sand Springs passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at her daughters home.
Lorene was born on November 2, 1914 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Alfred and Beatrice (Steele) Musgrove. She graduated from Clayton High School and married James Atwood Jr. on April 13, 1946 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death June of 1981. Lorene attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. She also had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Lorene is survived by her daughter Linda Milner and husband Terry of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, two sisters Wanda Dromgoole of Texas and Dorothy Brubaker of Utah, also two brothers Guy Musgrove of Colorado and Al Musgrove of Texas, five grandchildren Andrew Milner of Syracuse, New York, Alex Milner of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Austin Milner of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Alli Milner and Zach Milner of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Beatrice Musgrove, husband James Atwood Jr., and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, 2:00 p.m., October 17, 2009, at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, Texas with Pastor Gary Ferguson officiating, with Memorial services to be held on Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., October 20, 2009 at Grace Community Fellowship in Sand Springs, Oklahoma with Doctor Alex Campbell officiating.
