Paul Joseph Dupuy, Jr., 77, of Clarendon, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, in Clarendon.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Lance Wood, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Paul was born June 17, 1943 in Tampa, Florida to Paul and Haroldene Morris Dupuy. He had married Michelle Dechenaux on February 28, 2005 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to moving to Clarendon in 2010, he had lived in Davie, Florida. Paul was an electrical engineer for ILA Longshoreman and then drove a gas transport truck for Penn Tank Lines. He loved to fish and go out on the water. Paul could repair anything and everything, there was nothing he couldn’t get fixed. More than anything, Paul loved his family, especially his nieces, nephews, and his grandkids. Paul was a Methodist. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Dupuy; a brother, Louis Pierre Dupuy; and by two sisters, Sybil Isleen Worland and Emma Laura Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Dupuy; five sons, Tim Dupuy, Kevin and Darrel Musick, Shaun Dechenaux, Justin Nahm; four daughters, Tampa Childress, Jennifer Dupuy, Crystal Lieb, Jessica Acquaro; two sisters, Janet Sonberg and Elizabeth Anne Smith; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
