Charles Allen DeMoss, 87, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in Howardwick.
Services were held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Dave Stout, officiating.
Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Charles was born May 12, 1927, in Albany to Charlie Christopher and Nettie Baker DeMoss. He married Datha Allene Heard on June 3, 1945, in Sayre, Oklahoma. He was a US Army veteran. Charles worked as a butcher prior to his retirement. Charles had been a resident of Howardwick since 1992 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Howardwick and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Khiva Temple. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and boating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, on September 1, 2014; a daughter, Anita Louise Dunham; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by a son, Rodney DeMoss and wife Vesta of Canyon; a daughter, Charlotte Rogowski of Woodbury, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
