Funeral services for Lynette McQueen, age 79, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2000, at Martin Road Chapel in Amarillo with David McQueen, Beltway Baptist Church in Abilene, and Rev. Sherman Eastland, staff chaplain at Northwest Texas Hospital, officiating. Burial was held in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo.
Mrs. McQueen died October 18, 2000, in Amarillo. She lived in Clarendon since 1994. She previously lived in Amarillo for 28 years and in Goodnight for 15 years. She married Harvey (C.H.) McQueen in Coleman, Texas, on December 23, 1939. She is a Charter Member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey (C.H.) of the home; two sons, C.V. McQueen of Pampa and J.M. McQueen of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Pat Burch of Amarillo; one sister Virginia Seaton of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
